The very recent familiar territorial division of Moscow has undergone significant changes in the second half of 2011. The territory of Moscow in an instant increased 2.5 times, adding 140 hectares of land in southern and western directions. In this regard, 230 thousand inhabitants of the Moscow region have now become full Muscovites. The New Moskvy included such large cities of the Moscow region as Troits, Vnukovo, Shcherbinka, Podolsk, Privy, as well as the villages of Moscow, Vnukovo and Mosrentgen.
